About Brixen

Brixen makes the things a house runs on. Not the showpieces — the pan you reach for on a Tuesday, the basket that finally gets the hallway under control, the mug that survived four moves.

Why we started

Walk into most homeware stores and you are paying twice: once for the object, and once for the shelf it sat on. We buy from the same factories and skip the second part. The savings are not a promotion. They are just what is left when nobody has to fund a department store.

How we choose what to sell

Three rules, and a product only makes the catalogue if it passes all three.

Materials, not coatings. Cast iron, solid hardwood, stoneware, brass, cotton, seagrass. Things that age instead of degrading. If the surface is the only thing holding it together, it does not make it in.

Repairable by design. Gaskets, filters and screens you can replace. Joints that are screwed rather than glued. If the only fix is buying another one, that tells you what it is.

Honest about what it is not. A $20 colander is a good colander. We would rather tell you exactly what a thing does than dress it up as something it is not.
